This is the first release of V-3.1 of DateBk3. If you are not aware of
DateBk4 or DateBk5 - the very powerful successors to DateBk3, you may
want to download it for a 45-day free trial. The upgrade to DateBk4/5
from DateBk3 is $10. See ORDERINFO.TXT for ordering information.
DateBk3 continues to be supported as I realize some people are tight
on space, or do not require some of the advanced functionality present
in DateBk4/5.

New features in V-3.1 (which were always planned for inclusion in
DateBk3) include:

BEAMING

Beaming and reception of appointments as in the built-in datebook
application (Beam option in Record menu). You can also invoke this
with Command/B (note that the command strokes have been swapped so
Command/O is now used to create a new floating event. If you beam an
event from the regular datebook application to a Palm device with
DateBk3, then the regular datebook application will get launched at
the conclusion of the beam (that is not something that can be easily
avoided). In some cases, you may need to exit out of DateBk3 in order
to receive beamed events, and it is possible that the built-in
datebook application may "grab" the beamed event and launch itself
afterwards.

3-DAY VIEW

A new 3-day view has been added to the existing 1/2 week view with
text. The button that used to toggle between 1 and 2 now toggles from
1 to 2 and then 3. This view displays three days with full screenwidth
lines. Note there is a TODAY option in the start of week preference
option that you can use to display Today, Tomorrow and the day after
which is quite convenient.

BOLD FONT ATTRIBUTE

In the details dialog you can now set a bold font attribute for an
appointment. This is very helpful for emphasizing an important
appointment. If you have already selected a bold font as the default
display font in the day view (via Edit menu), then this item will
appear in a Large Bold font. The bold font attribute is also displayed
in the weekly and list views.

OS 4.0 COMPATIBILITY

This version is fully compatible with the new 4.0 version of the Palm
OS (first appearing in the M500 and M505 devices from Palm Computing).
Prior versions of DateBk3 would likely crash under OS 4.0 as Palm
removed some system resources for date information that DateBk3 was
using.
V-3.1 also includes fixes for almost all reported issues with 3.0.

Note that for specific support of OS 4.0 features like color,
security, vibrating alarms, etc., you will need to be using DateBk4.

To install the icons (and/or timezones) install dbSetup3, run it and
tap on the INSTALL button. You can then remove the program after it
installs the memopad record(s) for icons and timezones
===================================================================
This V-3.1h release includes a workaround for a serious flaw in the
first release of the MS Entourage conduits for OSX which can cause all
appointments to be moved to the current day. It also includes code
to suppress duplicate alarms from the proprietary PIM applications on
the new Sony Clie's (TH-55 etc.) and new Tungsten/Zire's (T3, E, 72/31).
