D A T E B K 3 - What's new in V-1.5

New in V-1.5e - maintenance Release

* Corrects problem of todo's not being moved to next day if ALL todo's were entered using the menu option or button (as opposed to details view pushbutton).

New in V-1.5d - Maintenance Release

* Fixes a small, but significant, incompatibility problem with the Palm III.

New in V-1.5c - Maintenance Release

* Fixes problem of Editing a note in the 2nd weekly view (generated a "Record not on day" error)
* Fixes problem of launching DateBk3 when a version prior to V-1.5a had not been pre-deleted (with this version it should no longer be a requirement to pre-delete the old program)

New in V-1.5b - Maintenance Release

*Corrects problem of not being able to set Sunday as start of week in Graphical weekly view
*Corrects Error of Record Not Found in trying to edit note from second weekly view
*Corrects problem of Round Duration checkbox not staying checked in Day View preferences
*Corrects problem of going directly from 2nd weekly view to day view and having week buttons start on Monday when Sunday was default start of week
*Avoids losing registration code when upgrading from V-1.5a or later (i.e. you will not lose your registration information when you upgrade to V-1.5b from V-1.5a)

New in V-1.5a

* Program has now been consolidated into a single PRC file which reduces memory requirements by about 20k (well, from what it would have been otherwise!). Remember to delete the WeekVu3 file before upgrading to this new version as it is no longer needed.
* There is a new BITMAP.TXT file for the DATEBK3 memo record which includes descriptions for the Attach Icon menu command
* A new menu item in the RECORD menu - ATTACH ICON now displays a selection list of icon descriptions and automatically appends the appropriate #x sequence at the end of a note for the current item.
* On installation, V-1.5 now automatically deletes and re-creates the preference database if an old version is found (avoids need to delete the application file for users with Flash Rom). Future upgrades from V-1.5 (but not this version) will no longer require the registration information to be re-entered.
* A new menu item, NEW TODO, inserts a new Todo item on the current day. Also, there is a new preference item in the Daily View that makes the NEW button create a new Todo, rather than a new event (remember you can always use graffiti to enter the time and create a new event).
* Todo Items are now always sorted ahead of Done items which in turn are sorted ahead of untimed appointments. All three items are then sub-sorted in alphabetic order. This can be used to set priorities on Todos (just start each Todo with a digit from 1-9). Note that if you edit a description the item will not be re-sorted until the screen is refreshed by moving to another day and back etc.
* a Hide-untimed-Todos preference setting in the 2nd Weekly view optionally hides untimed todo's and done/checked-off items
* Registration information and Registration code can now be entered from the Day View through menu items in the OPTIONS menu.
* Tapping on title bar of 2nd Weekly (i.e. textual) View now briefly displays time (like the other three views). The Week Offset is displayed after the time (Note: on this view only, this feature ALSO works on V-1 PalmPilots).
* 2nd Weekly View (With text) now has feature to scroll through all appointments in display and indicates whether there are undisplayed appointments before or after those shown. The 1-2 week pushbuttons have been replaced with a single button that toggles between 1 and 2. The scroll button will display arrows if there are any appointments in the week(s) that are not currently displayed.
* 2nd weekly view now distinguishes untimed todo's and checked-off items in the details view with the appropriate symbols
* The problem of switching from the graphical weekly view to the textual weekly view when the power off or any other button was pressed has been corrected.
